The hotel was adequate. The cleanliness was not good. The floors were not clean, especially the bathroom floor, and the rug below the ironing board, and iron. The furniture was old and worn and not comfortable. All dishes were in dishwasher. Didn't know where to put them away. I can stay at home and do housework. Sheets and bedding seemed clean and bed was comfortable.

Loved the two bed studio room. The size was perfect. Unfortunately it was worn out. There was a big stain in the carpet which made it feel dirty. The towels were well used. It could use a refresh. We stayed here because of the size of the room and because it was dog friendly.

Hotels are in a constant battle to stay "new" and this place is probably nearing the time when renovations are needed. There's nothing wrong here...but everything is just worn. You can tell it's been a while since carpet and furniture has been replaced. That said, what's here is nice. The rooms are good size and arranged thoughtfully. Everything is clean. Bed was comfortable. Bedroom had a wardrobe instead of a closet, which was a nice touch. Everyone puts the ice machine on the first floor now, which is an inconvenience, but not a huge deal. The location is the big seller here. It's a bit out of the way, but downtown is very walkable. Maybe a quarter mile or so.

Lights don't work between beds. Filthy when I had to pull the bed table out to fine another outlet. Carpet, under sink beyond dirty. If we had not checked in after 9:00pm I would have secured another hotel. The lobby and the ambiance of the location were most acceptable 4,300 miles and not one hotel that we could have complained about. Price for equivalent to the other ones. $175.00. Just properly cleaned and maintained. Age was certainly taken into account by us.

We were in La Crosse to visit Viterbo, and this hotel is in decent proximity to there. The staff member was friendly, and the hotel was inviting. Our room was clean, huge, and it was quiet. The pool area was smaller than how it was depicted in the pictures. The hot tub was very small, and it wasn't hot; it was lukewarm at best. Kind of disappointing. First world problem... lol. The breakfast was mediocre. There was some hot food, but it was nothing special. Small, cramped area. Again, not a deal breaker. Would absolutely stay again.

Room was fine, Could use updating. Location was great. Walk ability was wonderful. Lobby and check in were great. Had very noisy people in the room next door. Could not sleep.

The hotel is in a great location and the staff is wonderful. The room left much to be desired...a lot of dust, torn/worn out furniture, stained carpet, and a weak spot in the floor of one of the bedrooms. For the cost of the hotel, this was very disappointing. I don't want to hear that "big changes are coming" because that does nothing to fix our stay.
